Openly weeping this day in this, the Year of the Spinning Mouse. Farewell Sir Terry. I cannot thank you enough; none of us can.

My first appearance of 2015: on Wednesday, Feb 25., at 6:00pm at the Bradford (VT) Public Library, I will be giving a talk on the subject of graphic novels (including my own!), the evolution of comic books as both a literary and as an art form, and some other publishing subjects near and dear to my heart. Bring the youngsters and your own imaginations; there WILL be tales of epic heroes and High Adventure, and other nods to classic storytelling mythology.

Happy Independence Day, my fellow renegades. Keep your powder dry and remember that this day is about challenging your government --not obeying it. If we as Americans ever lose that inherent tendency to subversion, then we've lost everything. Remember that as you light the fireworks.

I hope you enjoy my story.

Thank you so much for the advice, [livejournal.com profile] svava. And thank your Smark for me, too (does [livejournal.com profile] kyttle even go by that nickname anymore?).

You are both, like, waaaaay beyond awesome and I wanted the world-at-large to know that.

"Yes, Anne Rice loves her some Jesus... how about that? I wonder if she'll go onto Amazon.com and scream at people who gave the Bible a bad review."
